Setting up Artists

Once you've updated the content on your remaining pages, it's time to set up your artists for your festival or venue. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Add Artists:

    • From your dashboard, click on the 'Artists' button in the left-hand navigation.

    • Click on 'Add New Artist'.

2. Fill Out Artist Details:

  • Artist Title

  • Featured Artist Image

  • Banner Images

  • Artist Biography

  • URL embed link for SoundCloud / YouTube / Spotify

  • Artist Social Links

3. Create Artist Types:

  • If you want your website visitors to be able to filter, you will need to create various Artist types in the admin.

4. Save and Organise:

  • Save the artist and repeat the process until all artists are listed in the Plot admin.

  • Artists will appear in the order they are listed in the admin. You can change the order by dragging and dropping the artists on the main artist page.

Featured Artist Layout

Once you've set up your artists, you can use a featured artist layout on any page. Here’s how:

  1. Add a Featured Artist Block:

    • Navigate to any page (e.g., the homepage).

    • Click on 'Add a Plot Layout'.

2. Choose Featured Artists Layout:

  • Scroll down and select the 'Featured Artists' layout.

3. Customise Featured Artists Layout:

  • Include a heading.

  • Change the number of artists in a row.

  • Add the artists you want to feature.

Setting up Artist Page

Now, let's set up the Artist page:

  1. Access the Artist Page:

    • Go to your list of pages in the left-hand navigation.

    • Click on the artist page that has already been set up.

  2. Customise the Artist Page:

    • Change the title of the page (currently set to 'Artists').

    • Change the URL of the page (default is /artists).

    • Choose to show all artists or specific types of artists.

    • Allow 'artist day filters' if you have listings.

    • Change the number of artists per row (from 3 to 4).

    • List artists in alphabetical order or a custom order (controlled by drag and drop).

    • Change the text for the 'All Categories' button.

    • Change the text if no artists are found using filter combinations.

    • Update search and social settings for the artist page.

Once complete, your artists and artist page will be set up. You can now create listings if they apply to your event or venue.
