There are two ways to set up listings on Plot: manually or via our integrated ticketing partners, which currently include:
Ticket Tailor
Dice
Eventbrite
Skiddle
Kaboodle
If you're not using any of these ticketing partners but would like to learn more, please reach out to us [email protected].
Manual Listings setup
Having set up your artists (which you would tend to do as a Festival but not as a Venue) in the previous step, it's now time to set up your listings:
Navigate to Listings:
Go to the 'Listings' tab on the left-hand sidebar.
Click on 'Add New' at the top of the page.
Once you are on the new listing page you'll want to add:
Listing Title
2. Single day or multi day listing and start and end times
You have the option of having a single day listing as well as multi day alongside start and end times for each listing
3. Stages and Lineup options
If you have different stages then you can select one to be associated with each listing. Please note you'll need to set up your stages first. You can do this by clicking on the Listings on the left hand nav and then clicking on Stages on the sub nav. You'll then be presented with a simple option to create as many stages as you wish.
You can also select the way in which the lineup is presented on the site:
No Lineup - if you select this you'll have the option to fill out an itinerary below
Simple text lineup - This will give you the option to manually list your artists (you also have the option to put in an itinerary)
Connect to Plot Artists - this will allow you to select from the artists you may have previously created in the system (you also have the option to put in an itinerary)
4. Listing Description
Tell your audience about your listing. This will appear on the what's on page.
5. Listing Image
You can add a listing headline image that will appear as the image on the listings tiles (on the whats on page) as well as the listings page. Please make sure the image is at least 500px wide.
6. Ticket Types
If you are selling tickets per listing then you can select the 'Selling Individual tickets' check box. You'll then have an option to put an on sale date for those tickets (they will show up on the website to buy on that date) as well as putting in the various Ticket types including ticket title, price, fees, status and notice text.
You can then also put in the ticket purchase URL, as well as the ticket button text and more info button text. Finally you can label a ticket type as sold out.
7. Individual listing page content
You have the option to add a title and content to an individual listing page. Simply add in the title and copy. You also have the option to drop in any supplementary images to support the copy.
8. Audio Tracks
You have the ability to assign an audio track to a listing in three ways:
You can add no audio (this will be selected as default
You can upload an audio track to the listing (please upload as mp4)
You can add an audio URL from common services such as Spotify and Bandcamp
9. Add related Listings
You can add related show to the bottom of your listing to help people find other listings that they might also enjoy. You have three options on this:
Do not add any associated listings (this will be selected by default)
Match related listings by related acts - this will pull through similar listings by artist and category
Pick my own related listings - this will allow you to select your own
The Plot page designer can also be used to add in any other layouts you'd like on your listings pages.
Ticketing integration Listings setup
If you have your ticketing via:
Ticket Tailor
Dice
Eventbrite
Skiddle
Kaboodle
then you don't need to manually enter any of your listings information (including the artist bios and associated media that are passed over via API)
Its a really simple process:
Click on Ticketing integrations on the left hand navigation and then select which ticketing you will be using. Please note you can choose as many of the ticketing integrations as you wish and they will work seamlessly together in one filterable listings page.
Once complete you'll need to click the name of your 'Ticket provider Settings" in the left hand navigation and you'll be asked for your credentials to link your ticketing provider to the Plot system.
Once this is complete your Plot site will start to pull through all the listings from your ticketing provider automatically. By default the auto sync with your ticketing provider will pull through every 30 mins starting (on the hour and 30 mins past the hour)
You have the option to manually update the listings (for example you cant wait 30 mins and need the listing up on your site instantly). Simply navigate to the 'Ticket provider name Sync' on the left hand navigation and you have the option to sync events.
Whilst your listings are now being brought over automatically to your Plot site you still have lots of override powers to edit and abridge the content on your listings. (Please note - changing information on listings inside Plot will not change any information on over on your ticket provider listings)
Lets take you through the options of editing a listings page that has been brought over from a ticketing provider automatically.
There are options that are fixed and cannot be edited inside Plot, these will be greyed out and there are options that can be overridden which are highlighted in bright white. (there are slight variations based on each ticket provider, however we have shown the usual set up below)
Listing info - this is normally greyed out and cannot be changed
Lineup options - these can be edited
Listing description - this can be overridden and edited
Listing content - this can be overridden and edited
Audio tracks - this can be edited
Related shows - this can be edited
Additional Listings Modules
Once your listings are added you also now have the option to put listings on any page you wish via our two listings layouts:
Featured listings
Featured listings slider
Simply add these modules via the plot page designer on any page and add in the listings you want to feature.
