To get your site live, there are a couple of steps you need to take:

Domain settings

Once you're ready to launch, you'll need to point your domain at our servers. This involves changing some settings within your domain company's control panel, such as GoDaddy or 123 reg. It's a straightforward process, usually taking around 30 minutes to 24 hours to update. Once the changes are made, your site will start pointing towards the Plot servers, and your site will be live on your domain. Here are the A records you need to add:

There's 4 A records that need adding:

Type: A. Name: @ Value: 162.159.136.54
Type: A. Name: @ Value: 162.159.137.54

Type: A. Name: www Value: 162.159.136.54
Type: A. Name: www Value: 162.159.137.54

Please remove any of your old A Records that might be visible.

Site Status

You have control over which pages are launched and which are hidden throughout the lifecycle of your event, festival, or venue. In the 'Site Status' under 'Site Settings' on the left-hand bar, you have three options:

  1. Website is live - All published pages will be live

  2. Website is hidden. Holding page displayed only - the website will be hidden form public view and only a holding page will be displayed

  3. Holding page acts as a splash screen - users can click through to view the full site

Please note that if you're logged into the admin, you can still edit pages and view live. Only the public view will be affected by the site status settings.
