This section is only relevant if you need to create dedicated ticket types and/or pages on the website.
Its not always necessary to create ticket pages. Many of our venue clients are linking directly from listings to ticketing providers and lots of our festivals are direct linking to ticketing providers and letting the customer choose ticket types on the ticketing platform.
That said, we give you the ability to create tickets by day and by type, give each ticket type its own unique information as well as place these tickets on a dedicated tickets page or in a ticketing layout on other pages on your website.
Configuring Tickets
To start, you'll need to create your ticket Types. Click on GA Tickets in the left-hand sidebar and then on ticket types. Simply add the ticket type name (e.g., GA, VIP, GOLD) and save them.
Then, head over to the 'Day of Tickets' in the same sub-navigation on the left-hand sidebar. You only need to fill these out if you are selling separate tickets for different days.
Same as before add in your ticket day name (Friday, Saturday etc) and save.
Now, move on to create your tickets. Click on 'Add New' from the left-hand sidebar. From here, you need to do the following:
Create ticket title
Create a sales note that sits alongside the ticket (e.g., selling fast)
Select the day the ticket corresponds to
Select the ticket type the ticket corresponds to
Add in the price of the ticket
Add in the ticket provider purchase URL
Customise your button text
Once you've set these core options, you have a few follow-on options for each ticket:
The ability to disable the ticket - will still display the ticket but not allow the URL to be clicked to purchase
The ability to add in a further description against the ticket
The ability to add an image against the ticket
The ability to change the brightness of the image against the ticket text
Configuring Ticket Pages
While you can create specific Tickets pages on the website, the core layout used to create these pages is "GA tickets" which can be dropped onto any page of the site and configured separately. Typically to create a standalone tickets page you would need to do the following:
Click onto Pages on the side nav and click add new page.
2. Give your page a title (e.g., Tickets) and configure the banner that will sit at the top of the page.
3. Click on adding in a new layout in the Plot page designer and selecting GA Tickets.
4. Inside the Ticketing GA layout, you have lots of configuration options including:
Changing the alignment on the page from left aligned and centrally aligned
The option to include a heading section with title and intro
Listing the tickets in a grid or list format
Selecting the number of tickets per row
Grouping tickets by day, type, or one list
Option to show all tickets or specific tickets
Add in day filters
Add in type filtering
Once configured, you can save as a draft or publish to the website.
